How expungement works in Wheeler County
Oregon expungement — called “set aside” in the statute — is governed by ORS 137.225. The process is the same in every county, including Wheeler County. The petition is filed with the Wheeler County Circuit Court, a copy is served on the Wheeler County District Attorney, and an Oregon State Police background check is submitted.
If no one objects within 120 days, the judge may grant the set aside. Once granted, the conviction is sealed and removed from most public records.
